The object of the intervention is a villa built in 1933 by the architect Antonio Bordoli, located near the lake of Lugano. The building has 3 floors: basement, ground floor and first floor. Originally it housed two apartments: the main apartment, on two floors, and a second basement apartment.
In 1974 the main apartment was separated into two units (one per floor), bringing the total number of accommodations to 3.
The main intervention involved the basement apartment, which underwent changes in the interior layout, to create a living apartment consisting of a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom. Further works were also carried out in the other two apartments and involved the renovation of the flooring, the restoration of some existing windows and doors, the replacement of existing sanitary fixtures and fittings, the creation of a new kitchen, the improvement of the external walkways and pedestrian accesses and the creation of new external lighting and other restructuring works.
